After a brief intervalle de temps we return again to Gen~ this time creating gates and envelopes with single sample pulses from the click~ object. As a bonus for our tardiness we also learn to read DSP diagrams and create our own simple filter – arriving at a reusable high hat generator with audio, amplitude and spectral control logic all inside the same simple gen~ patcher.
Take a shot for every time I say, “this is simple/trivial to implement in gen~” (which isn’t really that a bad catchphrase for a tutorial series encouraging newcomers to gen~ is it?)
